Can the Summit handle virtual voice mail boxes? I can't find anything in documentation that allows it. I can create a voice mail box within the default extension numbering but can't direct dial to it from a CCR menu.

For example, if I have a system with 12 extension ports 100-111, and try to direct dial from a CCR menu to a extension that doesn't have a physical port (x112), I get a recorded error message saying it doesn't exist. Yet when I call in to retrieve voicemail for the nonexistent extension, I can get into the voice mail box.

Is there a check box I'm missing in the thousands of options in programming the web interface to allow a transfer to virtual extension? Has anyone else encountered this?

I would call tech support but they don't do weekend hours.

In PGM 111, make sure "FWD if OOS" is set to "On".

Also verify that your virtual extensions are "Unconditional" forwarded to your voicemail group in PGM 120.

That appears to do the trick. Another sub nested option only learned through experience.

Thanx
