Hello. This system has 4 lines in the system in rotation. Most of the phones are digital 24 button phones, but there is one Dect cordless phone (V10000).

The issue is that when a second call comes in on another line while a person is talking on the cordless phone there is a call waiting tone beeps in the ear. (This would not be call waiting from the phone company as the lines hunt from line 1 to line 3)

The users occasionally answer calls from the cordless phone so they want to keep the phone ringing on incoming CO calls. Can the call waiting tone be disabled on this cordless phone?

I looked through the programming guide for this system and I don't see anything regarding a call waiting tone in the ear. The users have not complained about the tone with the 24 button phones.
I suggest you set up forwarding to voice mail which will shut off the camp on tone. If the cordless is part of a multiple ringing group, forwarding will not work however.
Thank you for your input

This phone rings with multiple phones. They take it with them when they have to step away from the front desk to answer calls. so i won't be able to forward to voicemail.

Is there no other way to silence this tone in the ear?
There is but I haven't revisited this in years. Trying to remember as we ran into this from the first release.
In PGM 114, have you verified that "DID Call Wait" is off? How about PGM 113 "Mute Ring SVC"?

I have not checked these. I will try to check these if I go back to the site.

I say 'if' because in this case we were working on this location as a sub contractor, so I have to wait to see if the original company wants us to go onsite to fix this for them.
