We have dual PRIs from MCI running into our SX-2000 on a Universal T-1 card. Recently, we have been getting the 'All Circuits are Busy' (ACB) message when a person tries to call us. This happens intermittently, but has been occuring about 20% of the time from what we can tell. I have called MCI on this, and they had me trap some calls. When I get a failed (ACB) message, he says he doesn't even see it hitting the switch he's monitoring. Could there be something wrong with my PRIs? Please Please tell me this is a simple setting I can fix. I've been fighting with this for the last 2 wks.

Don't know about MCI but AT&T has an identification code on the end of an announcement that tell the caller where it has failed...like 04T at the end of the message. Also the message comes from the MCI switch not you, so he's right he isn't seeing them hit your Trunks cause they aren't getting that far. You need to identify which area's the calls are from, or if MCI has a switch identifier have the callers tell you what the code is at the end of message. I'm assuming of course all trunks aren't really in use, but they should be able to tell you that also.

What he can't identify the trailer? Or is the trailer from the switch you're home out of? Bottom line if the T's arent really both busy, which again they can identify, and if you or MCI don't see the T's in trouble this has to be an MCI trouble. I'm going by what they are telling you when they say it's not hitting your trunk.

They are saying it's not hitting their switch. But good calls hit the switch. I know the T's aren't busy as I watch them on our SX-2000

Guess what I'd have to ask them is if the call isn't hitting their switch, then why are the callers getting an MCI announcement with an MCI trailer? Or are they saying this isn't an MCI announcment? I don't know MCI's trailers, but looks like what you gave is just area code and nnx. If it's their announcement, it's their problem. Also even if both your T's were busy your customers wouldn't get ACB announcment they'd simply get a busy signal.

If it's a LEC announcment, it's still theirs, they buy the trunks from the LEC's
forgot to add this. If they trap the trunks to your switch and don't see them hitting your trunks they have a problem...better start escalating, or change carriers.

Thanks for the info... they just called and it turns out the entire Seattle switch is busy. Turns out they don't have enough T's to service the area and are busily adding more. I really appreciate the help, and I am so glad it's not my sys.

No problem. For some reason the carriers, ALL OF THEM, hate to admit they have a problem.
