I Programed a ss4015 into a open port on one of my digital cards(everything is exactly the same as the other 4015's, except the # of course). But there isn't any tone comming out of it at all. If I hook a test set up to an existing digital line I hear data (static like) but nothing out of the newly programmed port. Is there something I have to do to activate the port, or could I have a bad port?
Thanks, Donny

You won't hear tone on a digital port only data hiss. It may be a bad port of bad cable feeding the block.

Yeah, that's what I am afraid of, a bad port. Hiss is what I ment when I said "static like" noise.

Thanks for the input Johnp

Reseating the circuit card may help.

dont forget to put a jack on the port at the mdf to rule out bad iw.

you can also swap the dnic card with another to be sure if it's a port problem or cabling problem.

are you sure you are on the correct location on the block? are your blocks marked correctly?
