When you upload a file to the 3300's embedded Music On Hold, does it simply overwrite the file, or does it keep putting more and more files on it?
MOH is supplied by a music source(cd player, tape deck, etc). The music source can be connected directly to the back of the 3300 and the music you hear is coming directly off of the music source. The music is not stored on the 3300. There are no files for music. Mitel's brochure is not very clear.
VOIP, on the latest version of the 3300 5.2 you can upload MOH files to the PBX.
I do not know if the files get overwritten or not, I imagine they do. You should be able to tell by ftp'ing into the PBX after you upload a file...
I ftp'ed in and only got an empty directory called /sysro/ Any other ideas? (We have 5.2 on the 3300ICP)
there is a hidden root directory called /db.
That'll get you to all sorts of adventurous places!
Just Tried that... it doesn't have anything in it.
Just looked at our 3300. In the /db directory the are 2 other directories that refer to MOH one is /db/eMOH and the other /db/bak_eMOH. Trying to upload a file, but am having some problems right now, probably due to me remote controlling the pc...
I just checked it out, and it looks like for the 3300ICP, you can only upload one file, and it overwrites it. Thanks for all the help.
