Am working on a pbx / pms interface with 200ICP. Form 11 CDN, Form 12 Data assignment and form 34 directed IO as well as COS for circuit are all copied from system where this is working. I am not getting anything through to PMS. What am I missing?

PS - somewhat urget. Also the precidia programming is exactly the same as the working site.

It might not be your switch! I went round and round with the PMS people about their computer, and the way it was connected to the iPocket. There was some question as to whether or not it needed a null modem cable to connect to the PMS computer. I know, as you do, that my switch was programmed correctly, and that is was plugged in to the correct port on the octopus cable. It came down to the fact they it needed a straight through serial cable rather than a null modem cable, even though I was told the opposite. :bang:

I've verified RD/TD lights on connections so looks like that is okay but thanks for the suggestion.

If you go into the maintenance side of the Mitel, are you able to ping the ipockets?
If you plug your laptop into the ipocokets (instead of the PMS), and xmit a "control E", the Mitel wiil send you a repsonse.
More than likely, as mentioned earlier, the pms's ports may not be set correctly.

Also, if you set up your laptop on the serial side of the IPockets and run Hyperterminal or ProComm, you should be able to see the data flow from the Mitel.

Be sure to match the Baud Rate and Parity. IPocket instructions will tell you how to set Baud and Parity on the IPockets, and the PMS vendor should be able to tell you what Baud/Parity is expected on their end.

Can you tell us what the problem turned out to be?

Well as best I can remember (sorry but there were a lot of things going on and since I ws not on site but walking someone through this a lot of things go filtered) the main problem turned out to be that the person had programmed the iPocket with the wrong IP address it was 192.168.3.2 instead of .1.2

Also found that if you do a control F you will get back <SOT> RQINZ <EOT> . Once I got that I knew I was golden. Had the property pull up the com port on the workstation taht was processing the interface and id the same thing. From there I knew I was golden. This PMS software is from an independant guy and he is still having problems with the name field, but all else is working correctly.
