Hey guys,
I am new to the VOIP world so I need some help with a Mitel system. I curently have the need to install some new IP phones. The old phones (5220) that are in place work now. The new phones hang after getting an addy from the access vlan. The display will show the access vlan IP addy and Option 128+. Nothing happens beyond this point. As I mentioned before the phones in place now are working but if rebooted will encounter the same problem as the new ones so I know it is not a phone issue. I also know that the phone recognizes the voice vlan because it displays during the setup sequence. We are using a Mitel 3300 system and nothing has changed on it. We did change from a older Cisco Catlyst (maybe 4000 series-before my time) to a Cisco 6509. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Check your scope options in your DHCP server Newer revision phones require option 125 for the new firm ware
the other phones were probably statically assigned
