Hello,
Thanks for the wonderful forum! I was wondering if anyone knows if a Mitel 3000 system will work if the data (orange) pairs have reversed polarity?

I'm installing the system in a building in which the orange pair has reversed polarity on every block, and I don't want to have to re-punch everything if I don't have to.

Thanks again!

Just do a turnover in the x-connect from the Mitel 66 block to the building wire 66 block.

Hi,
Thanks for the response.

I ended up trying it on one extension with the wiring reversed. It worked just fine. I played with it quit a bit, and it doesn't seem to be polarity sensitive for the data wires at all.

You can have any combination of correct and "incorrect" wiring, and the CCU seems to be able to match it just fine.

Anyway, just thought I'd post that for future reference.

How much easier can you get then that?
