Why can't I find what Alarm 122 means? Maint. log says: Alm 122 Bay 1 pcm 00 00 08 00. frown

Alarm 122 means that the bay has cut back or returned to service after a loss. Do you have an Alarm 121 that shows it going out of service?
The logs preceeding that might tell you why it had a failure.

Well, I have Major Alarm Bay #1 96% unavailable. 100% unavailable.

What other logs do you have?
Is there an "Alarm level change due to Bay 01 ???????" Trunks, Lines, rcvrs or a "Bay 01 reported cause..."
What do you have in Bay 1?
Alarm 122 is a "bay has cut back to normal" message. The alarms before that one may be the cause.

If this is truly a LITE, check AC power, consider P/S, Bay control card. This alarm indicates major failure of the bay, normally caused by a common control card (pretty much only the BCC), P/S, fiber transceivers at bay or LITE controller.

Right. I think we have sourced it to the BCC. However, there is the Bay Control Resource card that is no longer attainable- but isn't that card just a settings for applications?

Not attainable?? You're not talking to the right people?

I'll bet fifty5footer has that card and you DO need it! If I remember correctly, it does what the what-cha-ma-call-it card on the upper rear of the MCC does for 1000-1004.

Weird thing is, the control card has two dashes as if nothing is wrong.

Sounds like somebody has been messing with alarm levels in maintainance. I'd bet that if it is the BCC in bay one, if you put it in 2, 3, et al, you'll have the same results about alarms! If you don't lucky you. What's different in alarm level settings, bay-to-bay?

The BIG question is are you reading old logs, or is something currently broken?
Posted By: westerntelephone Re: SX-200 Lite Alarm - 02/08/10 10:37 AM
The errors were recent and old. There was 121 cut through, and 122 cut back. I will remote into it again and re-check which bay(s) and alarm thresholds.
