Sx200 EL LW 19 with 2 PRI circuits working in main cabinet. Form 4 Option 71 and 72 set to 2. Music on hold works for everything but the PRI. Music is played when held by ACD path but not when placed on hard hold. Tried using moh on ons card and moh on universal same results. Changed MCC. Moved MOH to another bay.

I have seen this before, but don't remember what I did to fix(has something to do with some option settings & spines). Did you search this forum for a similar question?

I did search the forums and someone said the option 71 and 72,number of bays, has to be set to 2. I checked and it is but for grins changed it to 3 and no change, set back to 2. Also in maint. show status of the pri CP_Dev, I think softkey 1, on music = yes when the channel is "stowed". The pri appears to be connected to the music but no audio.

from a bulletin:

NO MOH [Music on hold] to trunk callers or blocks of stations. Publish Date
Aug-27-2004

The incorrect setting of System Options 71 and 72 in CDE Form 04 causes the failure of MOH on trunks and stations.

Options 71 and 72 must correspond to the type of FIM or CIM card installed. A triple FIM card can be identified by the part number [see below] or the factory mounted fiber connections on the front of the card. A triple FIM has 4 fiber connections on the front edge and a connection socket on the rear for the third bay. Even if the extra module is not installed, this is still a triple FIM. For the triple FIM card, Option 71 or 72 must be set to 3 to correctly assign the links.

Control triple CIM cards have a dip [switch 4] that must match the programming in Option 71 or 72.

PRI cards installed in the control cabinet, emulating either bay 2 or 4, must have Option 71 or option 72 set for 2.

The Triple FIM part numbers as follows:

9109-613-001-NA
9109-613-002-NA
9109-613-003-NA
