I know how to restrict the phones from calling the guest phones. But is there a way to make it so if the house phone calls the console the console can transfer the call to the guest room? I restricted the house phones in form 5 from calling directly to guest tenant. had them test and they said all was working now they say it is not. Please help
won't work as it sits, I am just trying to think of a workaround
could you program manual dial in the cos of the house phone to the console and then a transfer could take place.
No it has to be able to dial 0 and 911. New standard for the brand. Not allowed to have ringdowns.
I don't think you got the entire information from your customer. It worked, at first, that the phones could dial zero and 911, but they could never be transferred because you have blocked the interconnection to the guest phones tenant.

My guess is that the front desk could either hold or press the transfer key and get the guest, but when they would try and connect the two, the calls would drop.

You may want to consider a Viking Electronics TR-1 call restricter for each phone. You could put all the house phones back in the same tenant group as the guest phones, but still have only dial zero and 911 access. With them in the same tenant group, call transfer through the front desk would be possible.

I have the same problem with tenant setup. The problem I have found with LW19 is that the dial 0 from any phone not assigned in the same tenant as the attendant console will not follow the setting in form 19. The attendant console is assigned tenant 2. Any phone assigned in tenant 1, when dialing 0, will only ring to the extension assigned as day in form 19 of tenant 1. Whether the system is in day, night 1 or night 2. Any phone assigned tenant 3 or above, when dialing 0, will only ring to the Night 1 extension assigned in form 19 of tenant 3 I can't seem to find the solution. Is it a flaw in the software?
Tenant night switching control
How many digits are the extensions?
I have noticed the same issue as well. I did the tenant night switching control and still the same issue.
As for the original post my boss claims that what I have been trying to get to work should. That he had several properties where they could restrict tenants from calling direct but could call the console and be transferred. By simply doing this in form 5 and no other equipment but he may be full of it.
That kind of worked in G1000-G1005 but has not worked, like that, since LW17. The partitions between tenants are there for a reason. Form 19 should get you the same dial zero if it's programmed properly. I have an ICP with 5 tenants and they can all dial zero and reach the tenant 1 console.

Without providing independent restriction, like using the Viking, I don't think you can do what you want to do.

You may be able to send thier 0 calls out ars to cor(ed) loop back trunks. It would depend on traffic needs as to path requirements. If you have a couple of open T1 slots, you could pass some ani/dnis info via analog networking. A couple of used cards would be cheap.
