Customer has 2 copper lines.
The 2 lines ring to a hunt group.
The hunt group rings 2 phones and then recalls to a CRA.
The same 2 copper lines are as trunk keys on all the phones.
The other phones, they do not want to ring when the calls come in.
The other phones have secondary extension keys on them for either of the 2 phones that ring (in the hunt group).
The secondary extension keys do not flash when calls are ringing to the hunt group.
The trunk keys light solid when a call is ringing the hunt group.
Number 1 - The customer would like the secondary extension keys to flash.
Number 2 - they would like the trunk keys to flash on the phones with secondary extension keys, yes even though the call is not really ringing the phone.
Just visual. the phones with secondary extension keys, they do not want to ring.

Why is it that the crappy little systems cause the biggest headaches?

One thing I'm not clear on, what happens after the calls recall to the CRA? It doesn't make sense that the trunk keys don't flash when calls are ringing the hunt group, before calls go to the CRA. They will never flash after the CRA answers the call, because the trunks are no longer ringing.

You've double checked the keymaps to make sure they're really programmed as labeled? A couple of things just don't add up, and that might explain it.

What Mitel? If an El or ICP, the extensions can be DSS/BLF on the phones and they will flash and they can be no ring or delay ring.

To make Number 2 work, you can make phantom extensions that delay ring on the phones. The phantom extensions would be the trunks assigned to ring the extensions as well as the hunt group.
