Maybe this isn't the right category to post in, but our company is getting into the hosted business. Looking for opinions on what tel sets to offer/deploy. Thoughts? Most of the customers that these would be geared to are 4-6 line businesses or small businesses that operate in one or two locations.

We use Polycom, very good reliable phones.

I have heard good things about the Yealink phones.

Personally I can't bring myself to believe in hosted ... sold a system yesterday with 24 phones and beat out a hosted deal.

They would have had to buy an additional 10MB circuit for $350 a month then pay $600 a month for the hosted part .... forever. Instead they pay $175 for their 5 lines and the $775 a month they save will pay for their system in a year or so.

Once they recoup the system cost they save $9,000 a year.

It reminds me of people using centrex!!

I have wanted to get into the hosted side but in my market I do not see any cost savings to the customer going with a hosted product. I guess different markets bring different products.

Sadly, Hosted is not about cost savings. It's the way technology is going.
Everything to the Cloud.

Things are changing

Change is not always good or always bad, its just change.

The market is driving this for us and we have customers requesting it. We also provide the data connection. Have a couple of Polycoms on my desk to play with, but have heard that they can be a nightmare to provision/manage.

We are a Shoretel house ... both premise and cloud based. It is a fantastic product.

We do now offer ESI digital systems for the smaller / less complex situations where they don't want UC and a digital system works for them.
