I have a tech at a site who has installed the external moh device, but does not know how to program the phone to play the moh. Does anyone have the program codes for this?

If my memory serves me correct..I think it's prgm 7. It sould come up with (defaults)
Enable Background music =N
Enable Music on Hold =N
change them to Y

Is there a way to do this without a display phone?

When you put MOH on the Onyx VS you will loose line port 4.
There are a couple of programs, 7 and 3, you need a display set and you will more then likely have to do it at 300 as it usualy is the COS for programming the system.

Its BGM that uses line 4 not MOH.

Yup, my bad. I forgot it was the BGM that uses line port 4.

So are there 2 separate ports for MOH and BGM? Perhaps the tech plugged the MOH into the wrong port?

There is only one MOH connection. You can enable BGM and that's where you loose line 4 as it uses that port for the BGM.
