Hi folks I wonder if any of you phone techies could help me with this simple job.

Basically I want to put a cordless handset on one of my extensions for my warehouse manager so he can carry his extension around with him.

I have 2 analogue sockets which at the moment are used for incoming and outgoing fax machines. So he could share the outgoing fax extension.

I have figured out that the outgoing fax machine is on extension 223 and i can contact other extensions from the fax machine

But whoever installed the system has blocked dialling the extension number 223. (probably to prevent ppl dialling the fax machine and confusing it)

However I want to lift the block on dialing extension 223 and I dont really know where to start.

my dozy receptionist told me the wrong extension number.

turns out its 234 after all.

Aah well 6 hours trying to chase rainbows.

happens to the best of us , I spent 4 hours tracing the circuits and trying to figure out why the taillights on my wifes car wern't working until I stopped and asked myself If I ever checked the bulbs

TWO burned out bulbs :bang:

Skip, been there! Have dual filament bulbs and poor grounds on your tail/stop lights and then only have 1 tail filament working, then try to analyze what the heck is going on. Then FINALLY get smart and replace ALL the bulbs at once. And fix the grounds. What a rush when it all works again! John C. (Not Garand)

Hey now, I was just trying to be neighborly :toast:

I read somewhere that a do-it-yourself guy decided to fix his washing machine. the belt kept slipping during spin cycle. He tore it all apart, replaced and adjusted the belt. ran a load and opened the lid in time to see the spin cycle wasn't working. drained the water, pulled it all apart, re-inspected, tested again and still didn't see it spin. pulled it apart again, doublechecked again, watch for tyhe spin again still nothing when it hit spin. then the realization came: Spin doesn't work with the lid open :rofl:
