I know...I know...but bear with me please.
I just need some info..Does it intercom?
I have an old manual that refers to intercom ringing or intercom voice, but fails to instruct how to use that feature. ANYONE still alive that remembers any of this?
Thanks, Dave
Its the blue box. with 60011a phones.
i have NO system dial tone and get fast busy when trying to program.
Is the 'conformation tone' constant or does it mimic a busy tone?
looks like I lost the intercom function.
should be a button marked ICM (intercom)
ext numbers start at 10
so ICM 10 will get you ext 10, 11,11 ETC ETC
ring or voice sets weather the icm call will ring the ext or come across hands free
the system isnt THAT old , productions stopped around 2000 as I recall still a lot of them out there
Hey Skip, thanks for getting back so quick.
I'm from the DC area and am sitting in a PA site looking over their system. The phones dont even HAVE a key marked ICM...but there is one marked SPK. I'm sure thats the intercom button as well, however anything i dial comes back with a busytone. I've powered down...powered up and did the Init. program with # * and hold button twice.
Is the conformation tone suppost to be steady or busysignil-like?
Thanks again, Dave
whats the button above speaker ?
AHAAHHHH its 01, 02, 03 for ext. numbering.
hahah.. and to think i use to work for TIE when Convergent took over and before they were bought by Intertel.
gotta love the older systems.
Now programing...is the conformation tone suppost to be a single constant tone?
yea , its been a while for me also
heh...the button above SPK is a vol. control. and its tuned down on most of the phones. I think this is prob the issue.
sorry about the open post. I'm betting the conformation tone (singular usage) is just that, a single tone. which i'm not getting when attempting to program....but on the upside. We recovered the intercom feature which had just simply been 'forgotten' by the user (and me)
OMG....note to self...dont trust the extension numbers on the phones. tone back to the KSU to make sure your on port 1. :}
its the simple stuff that gets me sometimes.
Thanks for everything Skip, I do appriciate it.
Dave
Dave:
H&R Block still has some of the Tie ModKey systems in our area---so we keep a few KSUs and phones around.
The other day we set one up in the shop, and it took us awhile to figure out--it's been too long.
Cute system---very cute!!
That's because it has almost no interaction program to program. Unlike almost everything in production today. Or to put it another way, it's too simple and easy to program. (Yeah, I dragged out an old I & R manual, to look at.) John C. (Not Garand)
on some of the old TIE systems they dont have intercom buttons they say MEM instead this can make it very confusing if you havent looked at this system in a while
