I've been working with a Nitsuko system, figurting it out each time for a few years now - there is no real Tel Person available in our remote area. I've managed to figure the system out, it just takes me a lot of time for something new.

I've been asked to switch the system to auto-attendant. got that done

Asked to get general mailbox setup, messages forwarded to first mailbox - got that done

Now, I've been asked to see if, instead of general mailbox a caller can get ext 2 (302) when they dial "0" instead of routing to general mailbox or maybe go to this extension and then to general mailbox if no answer but dial 0, got to ext 302 is the main thing.

Then I've been asked to set another key to company address information - no mailbox, announcement only.

I've looked through vm setup at dial action tables but I'm not sure how to accomplish these - any help would be appreciated!

figuring it out as I go... I tried changing the DAT in vm programming but nothing changed, now I see, I think, that we're using DAT 2 not 1. Still figuring.

go to the DAT and point the selector codes to go where you want (including 0 and TO )

create a Announcement mailbox and assign it to a selector

You would want to use a GOTO in the DAT and send it to an Announcement Mailbox.

Under reports do Mailbox list and look for what is defined as Announcement Mailboxes.

Thanks! I appreciate the help. The thing that had me was my assumption that the system was using dat 1, I made a change and nothing was different. Got it now.

Bill, that helps for the announcement part.

Skip, I got DAT and the selector codes and the system is working as expected. To be sure I understand though, what do you mean by (including 0 and TO )
