Hi all,

during my long intensive search for information about the nitsuko dx2e-24m telephone system, I came across this forum. It looks like you are my last hope.
I work part-time in a small auto repair shop using the nitsuko dx2e-24m. Unfortunately this system (as you can imagine) is already very old (probably older than me). I find absolutely no useful information.
The problem is the following: We've had an ISDN connection so far, via which internet, telephony and fax were connected. Now we have switched to a DSL connection with 100 Mbit/s at Vodafone. Unfortunately our fax machine doesn't work anymore.
I strongly assume that the system simply can't do anything with the T.38 protocol (fax via VoIP). Our solution will probably be a Fritz!Box 7590.

Nevertheless I would like to understand the system and be able to configure it. After everything I have found so far, the system can be configured via a connected telephone. Can you help me here? How exactly can this be done? I am 23 years old and my first and only contact with telephone systems was with an Alcatel PBX, which can already be configured via software smile.....

MUCH THANKS in advance!

Greetings
Sascha
I am not 100% sure but it may be close to the Nitsuko 28i (of the i-Series).

Here is a link to the Installation/Hardeware Manual.

and here is a link to the Software Manual.

and of course the User Guide

Be forewarned: A total understanding of the programming is REQUIRED! A simple software change in one programming and effect a multitude of other seemingly unrelated programs and can be a major headache trouble shooting.

Best to find a Authorized Dealer and/or Certified Technician. It's better to pay a few Euro's now than have a Brick and pay much more Euros later!

Perhaps someone more familiar with the TIE/Nitsuko/NEC product line will correct me if I am in error.

Hello Professor Shadow,

thank you very much for this quick reply! smile
I have a look at the documents. But I agree with you, it will probably be best to consult an external expert.

Thanks again!

For further assistance, opinions etc. I am of course also very grateful!

Greetings
Sascha

I would first start by connecting the fax directly to the lines. There is a lot of back end stuff that telco need to do to ensure faxes go through.
the phone system should not play a factor unless there is a defective port.

I just fought with Century Link for a month on this very issue. they delivered lines via IP to Analog. however they didn't adjust the QoS allow priority to VOIP. Also you may want to turn off ECM on the fax machine and lower the baud rate
