First system is programed with all 3000 series extetions, second system has all 4000 series extentions. Can call between them and transfer calls, but customer has requested when reception doesnt answer or after hours and auto attendant answers main number on 3000 series Nam.Howcan you verb it and how would I transfer to a 4000 series extention. Now if I enter a 4000 series extention in the 3000 series Nam it is not recognized.

When you say joined together are you talking about a private network, mics residing in different locations; or located in the same location, same closet, connected via DTI cards?

Anyhow to transfer out of mics to other mics, you have to set the nam to external cfwd within a ccr tree.

Sorry, both Mics and Nams reside in the same Com room. Customer did not want to upgrade to PBX at that time.

Then you are going to have to break down your ccr tree with an option stating something like this "to reach 3000 series extenstion press 2 now". Have option 2 external cfd to t1 trunk group landing on pilot number of other vmail. There is no way to integrated the vmails (as with in-band signaling) that will allow them to recognize one another, at least that i am aware of...

As the previous posts indicated you can from the CCR have one option to transfer to the other location or to the operator for the other location .If you want to have only one VM handling both systems ,then you will need to upgrade both system to rel 6.o or above and the VM should be NAM 4.1 By this way you can have centerlized VM.You will need the connection between the location to be PRI and you will have to enable a MCDN (network CODE)code for both systems.I hope that helps.

Have you tried doing it with a Route & Destination?
