I'm trying to change the recorded greeting that clients automatically get when they call the M7324 phone. The phone rings once, then the client is offered a set of options to directly reach the extension of each member in the office. It's not CCR. How do I do this? How can I change the option number to match the extension as well?

If what you are wanting is that a caller can press (Example) option 1 and be transferred to extension 221, then this is done in the CCR programming. You make the recording changes for the call menu in path 0. If the recording is going to say "For Sales dial 221", you would change the greeting for the AA.

The greeting consists of 2 voices. I figured out how to change the first part of the greeting using Feat983. The second part of the greeting, however, lists the individuals and the touch-tone number (ex: For so and so, press 1) and I don't know how to change this greeting, or delete it. I can't find path 0 of the CCR tree.

This sounds interesting , how do you set something like this up on a M7324.

This would so rock! and save me from answering the phone :P!

When you go into the CCR programming and you enter the tree #. Press change and it will ask you for the path. Enter 0 which is the Home/Menu path. What greeting do you have in that path?

There is no message in path 0. I did Feat983->xxxxxx->other->CCR->Tree 1->path 0. But there is no option for play. Where else can the second part of the message be?

That recording has to be in a greeting or in the CCR Tree. When you go into AA>Table Scroll through to see what CCR Tree is enabled, it may not be Tree #1. If it's not there, it may be in thee CCR Tree of the CICS. But what you're saying sounds like it should be in F983.

I agree with roldan, it sound as if you have a greeting recorded under AA, and then the menu is recorderd in path 0 of a CCR tree. Changing a CCR tree is not hard but can be aggrivating if you have never done it before, you will need to find what tree is in use under AA, disable it, change it under CCR, then go back to AA an re-enable it. It will let you change it all day long but if you have'nt disabled it first the changes will not take effect. Good luck

Thx for all your help guys! I was able to change the message. It was actually in Tree 1 Path 0. Now how can I change what each option number in the menu connects to what extension? For ex, in the old menu: for so and so press1. In the new menu: for so and so press2. Where would I go to change that?

Same place, path O is the recording and the instructions, path 1-8 are the options you want selected when someone enters those digits.

That is where the term path came from. Its the "path" a caller would take to get to a particular point in the tree. If path 1 were a menu point, and there was an option "2" in that menu, the path would be 12. That is something that has never been exactly clear in the manuals. I hope that helps.
