Any idea when Nortel is releasing the new MICS software?

It should be VERY soon. Callpilot 3.0 is set for GA on Feb. 28th. Some of CP 3.0's features require ICS 7.0 software, and its release is supposed to follow soon after CP.

Another question - what is the main difference between 6.1 software and 6.1 XC? Is it true that with XC you can upgrade from a 6 port expansion to two sixes?

Yes, with XC Software you can add a second six port expansion card.
Any truth to the rumor of expansion ports 13 and 14 being opened up for digital stations on7.0?

Everything is a rumor until it actually goes GA. But, that is in the plans for 7.0. There is a partner PKT for 7.0 on March 24th.
