We have a remote site that we are running a remote mini carrier cabinet that connects to our opt 81C at our main site. We constantly have problems with the system going down, we are getting an alarm saying that the 2 cards in the remote cabinet are losing power, we are not getting any alarms that the power supply in the remote cabinet is being affected. What could be causing this ?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is the remote site an option 11c cab?

This sounds more like a remote shelf. The power drop is not the remote power, it is the carrier link, I think. Please verify what you are using with the 81C.

I have had this issue with the external Kentrox CSU losing AC power...

This is a common problem wioth the Nortel Options or any other remote shelf connected via remote carrier.
You are expereicing T1 or CSU/DSU Hardware problems, not a physical switch problem.

Good Luck!
