Is there any info on vulnerability testing on the Norstar and CallPilot 100/150 ? What is the underlying operating system, Unix ?

Thank you
Mansell

Hi Mansell,

Welcome to the board! Please complete your profile so we can know a little more about you.

I believe that CallPilot is VXWorks based. And, although you never really "see" the OS of Norstar, my guess is that it is VXWorks as well. VXWorks is VERY common in communications equipment. However, Linux is gaining a lot of ground due to the need to integrate third party VoIP applications.

I haven't seen anything on OS hacking for either system. But, here is info available regarding toll fraud/phreaker prevention.

I hope this helps!

Thanks BCMGuy. I have a customer's IT Security Manager asking this information since the CallPilot will be connected to his LAN via IP for management.
