I have done this before using a point to point and routes. Now I want to do this but, use one NAM. Can this be done using an existing T1 thats being used for data? Do I need a channelized T?

Site A: MICS 5.0
Site B: MICS 6.1, NAM

I will add a T1 card to both sites for the link. I want to use one NAM and possibally have site A dial out from site B.

Am I going the right route?

Thanks in advance.

Yes it can be done, I believe you will need MCDN key code. Have you done this before with Nortel? If not hire a Nortel experienced tech to help you.

The NAM needs to be a 4.1 and you also need PRI key codes for the systems.

You can share the NAM 4.1 as a centralized vm, however you have to upgrade Site A to a at least Release 6.0 that’s the first release that support a NAM as centralized Vm, however the option for centralized VM was available on MICS 5.0 with a meridian switch and using the call pilot of the meridian PBX as the centralized Vm.Also you will need like mention above, MCDN code for both systems and PRI enabler on both systems. I hope that helps

I am not sure but I think both sites should have matching software versions 6.0 or up
