Location has an ancient Meridian 616 with DR2 and 14 phone sets (7208 & 7310 mixed)

Need to add the IVR we manufacture to his system.

Method?

Upgrade to DR5, add 4 or 5 ATAs and show him the final invoice?

Swap cabinet for an 8x24, add the analog card, cost effective?

Any other suggestions?

Trying to keep them from getting a $2500 charge for having our device installed.

All help is ALWAYS appreciated.

1. You can't add DR5 cartridge to a non DS cabinet and get supervision.

2. There is no analog card for an 8X24.

3. Have you ever installed your IVR on a Norstar? The ATAs have very limited functionality.

An upgrade would be the appropriate way. Putting a brand new IVR on a system that has been out of production (616, 8X24) for many years now, seems futile.

The CICS or MICS (he can go refurb if he wants to save $$$) is probably what he should look at, IMO.

You will need to use VMI boxes to pass DTMF and disconnect.
