I have 2 T7406 phones using 1 base station, both phones have 3 lines programmed (appear and ring) and you can call out on any line. The problem is that if you are on line 1 and a second call comes in, you can't pick up the second (or third) line. If you put line 1 on hold and press line 2, it just keeps ringing

have you tried using F*0 to verify the buttons on the phone. Always had trouble with thoes phones. I used to plug in an old M-7310 phone to the port and used it to move lines around on the phone. Pluged the T-7406 back in and did F*0 again to conferm the changes.

yes, all the lines are right. I always thought that as long as lines were programmed on a phone (appear and ring, appear only or ring only) you could put one on hold and answer the other. Maybe the 7406 has to be programmed differently? I haven't installed a lot of these phones.

It is a bug I have encountered on the 7406. You have to bring the phone to idle (rls button) before you can answer a 2nd call.

On a T7406 you can not assign lines to appear and ring the phone, you should have the lines ring only to the phone and programmed multiple intercom keys. I believe you can only have 2 intercom keys on these phones, but will not swear to it. I do know that you can not have line appearances on these sets; tried and tested.

I've found that the T-7406 emulates the button mapping of a M-7310 but some of the buttons don't appear on the phone when programmed. If you check the phone using F*0 you won't see all the lines. If you put a M-7310 on the port and move keys to match the T-7406 you will have the lines or features A/R ect. Takes acouple of tries to get the button mapping correct. give it a try.
