We have a BCM 50 that someone has changed the password on to login into it thru the element manager. User id is still nnadmin. Does anyone know of a way to get into this system with a backdoor password? Any help is appreciated.

You should turn off the CAPS Cudjoe. It denotes yelling in a forum environment. laugh

As far as the password goes, there may be a way to reset it, but you may have to get Nortel involved. You may even have to default it and reprogram it.

Is there a chance you could track down the person who changed it? If not, contact your local Nortel dealer and I am sure they can help you.

There is no backdoor on BCM50 which is Linux based. Starting ver 2 and 3 , it forces you to change the nnadmin default password immediately after the first login . The only way to reset it is to default it back to level 2 ( without calling Nortel ) ie you WILL LOST ALL PROGRAMMING, APPLIED PATCHES AND KEYCODES !

level 1 reset will restore password and keep
all key codes
