BCM 400 ver 4.0
Vista Ultimate pc

I connected to the bcm to do the Element Manager install for my new Vista laptop, but I get an error during the install. It seems to be a Java error.

I've downloaded the latest Java version, turned the Vista user access security feature off, run as administrator, turned off the Aero display interface, run in Classic mode, everything I can think of. But it still won't install.

The wierd thing is that the other apps install ok from the BCM. BCM Monitor, Desktop Assistant and Call Pilot Desktop Messaging are ok.

Any ideas on what to do next? Thanks!

Maybe it is not a Vista problem. Try another OS.

I have seen some PC that it just doesn't seem to go on. Java error.

Try to find an OLD java file. I have no proof but I think the new versions have a problem with Element Mgr.

We've tried Vista with older BCM Versions and it's a no go.
The lastest BCM Ver 3 works ok with vista.
Converted all our laptops back to XP
