I was out troubleshooting a CICS today at a State Farm location. Last year I had found that the port for line 1 was bad. I moved the CO line to where line 4 appeared and reprogrammed it.
Well today line 4's port stopped working and I belive there is no where to move it to. Are there more than 4 co line trunks on the standard card? Sorry I'm not sure which model it is. The sticker on the main board says NT 5B4105-06. The cabinet sticker says NT787588F. Can I just replace the board, or just add a card and re-program?
Any ideas on what would cause this? There is lightning protection installed before the system. Thanks in advance.
Only 4 CO ports on a DS/CI card. You could replace the board or add another if there is only one in the system and it is not running restricted software. I'd be more concerned about what was causing the rapid failures. It gets expensive to replace CO cards weekly.
Thanks Dave. I didnt think there would be anywhere to move it to. What puzzles me is its the same CO line that keeps screwing up the ports. The feed from the DMARC is fine, theres lighning protection, the connections are solid on the blocks and all of the tails are seated well. They are moving to a new building this weekend. Blackbox supports them. Ill just let them find a new card. Thanks again!
Check loop current on that line.
I was able to get one of the ports back in action. It turned out to be a bad pin on the 66 block. (pin would not "bite" down on the conductor). I troubleshot the remaining port again and it is dead. Can someone provide me with the part number for the expansion cartridge for the CICS? Is it plug and play? I know I will have to program line appearance. Does anyone have a refurb or spare they would like to get off thier hands? PM if interested. THANKS.
All cards are 4 COs. There is DS and CI(No caller ID & Caller ID)respectfully. They are not hot swappable. You have to remember that punch down is 2 pair and two pair skip for the next two.
Talk to Tom for refurbed cards.

I have noticed that there are numerous model numbers for these cards. What should I be looking for that can tell me if the card is compatible with this system? Tha cabinet sticker says "NT7875AAF". Thanks in advance!
The installation manual will list the "Type" of cards and their uses. Any dealer including Tom would know what card you want when you inform him what you're trying to do.
Above RBF gave you the two main types.
