I am having an issue with fax messaging on a BCM 50. I have the keycode for fax messaging as well as the keycode for unified messaging. I set up a DID to be used as a fax and put that in the Express Messaging field in the voicemail setup. I have the prime set of the DID set to the voicemail DN. I had the user download the unified messaging software and put in the right IP address for the BCM. She can recieve voicemails in her email account, but not faxes. Any suggestions or ideas? What happens when you call the fax number? does anything answer, just ring...?

It goes to the voicemail box of the woman who is going to be using the fax messaging.

What version of BCM50 were you using? On 3.0 there is an option for fax messages to skip the greeting. It is normal to hear a message when dialing a message line. What happens when you send a fax to fax line? Does her phone give a redirect tone? I had a problem with faxing to unified messaging when using a HP All in one fax machine. A standard fax machine would work fine.

Nothing is happening when I send a fax. The BCM is a 3.0. I'm trying to fax using a Canon all in one.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Make sure that the mailbox is not out of space. Make sure you try a different fax machine. Does her phone do redirect tone when you call the message line and her greeting is heard? You can try stopping and restarting v-mail services or do a reboot.
