Hello Everyone and Happy Holidays,Can anyone give me any insight on how to set up a dialup connection to a BCM50. I've never had to program thru dialup before. Must be slow with Element Manager. Mahalo

What would you do with that?

I'm not an expert but I just got done servicing a BCM50. There is no serial port on the BCM50, so where would you hook up a modem? You would have to use a dial-in remote access server like in the old days. Then you could connect the remote access server to the BCM50 by Ethernet.

The thing to do instead is to use a VPN or open a port on th router.

i believe you get the BCM 50 internal modem to answer a target line (if you have a PRI) or you can dial a modem extension through the auto attendant. you'll have to configure it with element manager while on site.

you'll make a dial up networking connection on windows pc.

perhaps someone else can chime in with the exact details.

F9*0 = Modem DN
F9*8 to enable if does not answer
Need EM for assigning DID

Search - Network Dialup Windows version ??

Select connect to workplace dialup, dial directly, put in number and credentials.
If AA answers put a couple comma's after number then ext # of modem.
