We have a need for two wireless sets from our BCM400. I've used the T7406 a couple of times before for other customers. Is this still the way to go?

I have an indoor area about 200 x 200 feet, and an outdoor area about 400 x 300 feet, that needs coverage for two users. There is a very thick concrete wall between indoor and outdoor.

Can I add an additional antenna for outdoors?

Thanks.
Jim

I would go with the T7406e and not the T7406.
Much better phone.

I don't know about extending an antenna outdoors with it.

You didn't mention what system you have but nortel has the digital mobility solution that works way better than the T7406e. The T7406e are 800Mhz system, the digital mobility are 2.4Ghz. With the digital mobility you can add up to 8 basestations(antennas)per controller. For your setup I would recommend 2 basestations. one for the indoor and one for the outdoor. If you can mount the basestations in the middle of the area for both, the your coverage will be suffice. The digital mobility acts like a cell phone where it passes the call to the other basestation when you move around. Good Luck

I'm sorry Yoda, yes the digital mobility will work great on your BCM400. You just need two open ports on your BCM400. Also with the digital mobility the two users can move around to cover both indoor and outdoor without dropping any calls.
