Have a client that wants to go cheap. Isn't that a new one. They have a CICS. I was wondering if I can put a NAM on it just for the Voice Mail. If so, anything special I have to watch out for?
Let me know anyone.
Thanks,
Paul
You can, as long as its a copper NAM. Do you already have the NAM? you can get a used CP100 fairly cheap. I wouldn't want to mess with a NAM given their age.
No, I don't have the NAM. I can get one for about $xxx to $xxx. What kind of price range are we looking at when you say CP100 cheap?
Paul
No picing please in the open foums. Please use PM's.
I agree with Z-man.
I would not put in a NAM.
Check out the Call Pilot 100.
Thanks guys....I hear what your saying about the CP100 vs the NAM but there is no place that I have found that seems to want to sell a CP100 for anywhere near what I would like it to be. Everyone seems to be very proud of their CP100's.

A NAM is just asking for problems. Bite the bullet.
With the NAM, it only takes a few hours of troubleshooting to eat through the cost difference of a Call Pilot. When I see a NAM now, the first thing I tell the customer is we aren't responsible for any potential failures by working on the system. Even a simple reset and power down can kill a NAM...
why not try a Flash 2 or Flash 4, no hdd!
Depends on the s/w version.
Just for a bit of color, the NAM uses a 486 33 MHz processor with a whopping 120mb HDD. That is how old they are, even a reconditioned NAM has a lot of miles on it, I would bite the bullet also, unless you already have a working one kicking around.
NAM? I use one as my boat anchor.
