Church CICS r7 hit by lightning, someone donated DR5. All T7316 sets powered up.

3 trunks total,I moved 003 up and addded to sets.

1)Can't find how to have line 3, 2 then 1 be accessed by lifting the handset.
2) No hands Free on T7316 is it able?
3) Need to be interfaced w/ Aegis 7000 Call box, doable?
4) Connected M7208 set and it would not initilize, just all arrows blink

My use this til I have CICS repaired or replaced my need help with that too.

Thx all and Happy Labor Day!!

1) Lines must be in the same "Pool"
2) Must be programmed
3) Yes, with an ATA
4) Should work fine. Try changing ports

Try & partner up with a Nortel tech in your area.

Also, Can CID be an option?
Only slot on DR5 has DR5 system Card

Yes, but it'll cost $$$ and seems this is just a temporary fix until the CICS is repaired or replaced, I'm sure they can live without it.

You asked:
2) No hands Free on T7316 is it able?

To expand on Dave's answer:
2) Must be programmed

This is only by chance that you were too lazy to put the little "e" after the T7316......
If you are using the T7316e phone instead of the T7316 phone, the handsfree button under the dial pad will not work.
Once you have programmed it, the handsfree will show up on the bottom right button of the phone, not on the handsfree button under the dial pad.

Dave,

Do you know if there is any information about software security on a CICS or MICS. Long story short, a customer in town is retiring about 5 Nortel systems. They want to know if there is any private customer information that might be on the system. None had voice mail, so I think there is nothing except the programming information.

Thanks

Cosmo

The only thing on a CICS or MICS that "might" be customer info would be each of the users name in the NAME area for their extension. And their phone numbers in the NAME area for each of the Line numbers.

And all of that can be wiped out with a reset (Startup).
