Hello,

Dispatched to a new client with multiple issues yesterday. All fairly normal things. The one that has me here is that calls made to line 1 ring 8 times and then a modem or fax tone comes on. I've checked building wiring for no sleepers. The tone drops off only if I pull the jumper off the amphenol where it enters the switch. I see no RAD anywhere. Without tracing every port is there a way to isolate this or have I already missed the culprit?

Thanks for your insight

As an aside, they had one of their numbers slammed by level 3 communications. We have no dial tone and incoming calls go to a recording saying it is an invalid account.

We let AT&T know so we could get our service back. They sent us to their "win-back team". Although this is a primary number for the client, I was shocked when they said they could have it put backin about 2-3 weeks. Yep! getting SERVICE(D) just like on the dairy farm!

You did say COMPACT ICS not Modular ICS. So that means you have an Internal RAD ( I-RAD ).

It is probably set to pick up on one of the lines after so many rings. Just turn that Auto Answer to NONE.

Sys Prog - Remote Access.
