Customer has BCM 50 with IP sets. Recently did a office move with in same complex. Feed from BCM to old office switch was 125 feet, had no issues. Feed to new office switch is now 270 feed. They are now experiencing echo on phone calls. Any idea what this may be and how to change for repair.

Internal or External calls...or both?

Feed from Demarc to BCM is longer or sets are longer from BCM?

What type of Lines from Carrier?

Curly,

Will find out carrier, I believe Bell, trucks, will confirm, Bell trucks at BCM. Sets are IP from switch in room. BCM 270 feet from switch. Will also ask if only IP sets have echo

I had this same problem. All worked ok. Then they moved IP phones from one location to another that was closer to the BCM. Then had ECHO pretty bad. After doing all the fancy stuff that did not correct the problem, it was this simple little thing that made the difference.

Programming for each line - trunk line data - LossPkg:
You will have to change this setting for each trunk.
Not sure which way will work for you, but there is short, Medium, and Long. Try each one.
But you HAVE to reboot after making the change.....each time.
ie set them all to short - reboot. Does it do anything.
Set them all to long - reboot. Does it do anything.

It sounded pretty dumb to do this, but it worked for my case.
Got this from Support. They were also the ones that said I had to reboot for it to take effect.

What I meant was analog or PRI, I was heading same way as NT stated above for analog.

Try long first and make sure not all sets have their volume cranked up, maybe turn on System Volume instead of Set Volume for now.
