Steve Hart is an avid Northern Telecom collector, and
had the good fortune to get these pictures of a Nortel device used within central offices in a sort of auto-speakerphone key system. He's wondering
if anyone can find out the model number of these or, better yet, get him one.

I can't ID it - I have never seen one like it, and would love to have one in my Nortel collection as well. Anyone recognize these who can enlighten us?

HI I have only seen 1 and it is still working at a supplier/Distributor i go to , i was interested in it when i seen it also,, when i drop in or call them i will as about the model and if they have any more. It almost looks like it was used only in the Bell C.O. buildings ,I can see a ANAC & RSB Buttons in the picture.

Thanks, it was a mystery to me, and not too many Nortel phones get by me... Anything you can dig up would be of interest!

We had a Bell Canada Tech check the phone on one of the frames to find out its number. It is labelled NT3N00AA. It looks to be part of the Meridian line, but we can find out nothing more about it. No listing I can find lists them. Were they perhaps only provided as part of the frame? Anyone?

HI! Dave ,i'm betting it is a Bell C.O. equipment only ,, just because there are no listing of it any where, look how it fits into the frame like it was designed for it.I will call the company i know today.

HI! Dave ,just talked to them about the Bell wallmount telephone and asked if they had any more and she started laughing because everybody that comes in wants one. She is going to talk to the Technician when he comes in to see if he has anymore.

I have only known them to be in Bell Canada's C.O.s and made specially for them.
I have a buddy that has one, he wont part with it.....he is an ex ITAS support tech who also worked for Bell.

I found one fellow today who has one, and he has been looking for further information on it for years. He tells me he plugged his into his Norstar 6x16 and it recognized the phone as being the same as an M7208. I'd love to find either it, or a Practice covering the unit (and of course eventually find one to use on one of my switching frames in the Museum along with my Norstar system. Ahh. Notel still is keeping secrets from us :-)

Has anyone found any more information on the NT3N00AA? We are still looking for information on these. So far, it looks as though they were used in Bell Canada frames in Eastern Ontario, but we can't find out anything else.

It's a MDC/EBS M5 series Centrex station from the 90s (pre ITU E.161) made for DMS COs. It was used to test Centrex voice circuits, digital, of course.
