I have a Norstar user that when she presses her HOLD button to put a call on HOLD, the display will show Hold on Call 1. Her icm will not flash.
She can not get the call back. When the call recalls back, it says Park Recall

How do I change it to normal HOLD.

Normally if you put a call on hold it wouldn't say anything, line 1 would flash or intercom key would flash.
If a call is parked it would NOT flash.

The hold key appears to be parking calls rather than putting them on hold.

This is either some vintage software or the client is using the wrong button.
Hold key is fixed and is Red
Park key is programmable to the other keys.

Wait for others to give some input.

Have her show you how they put it on hold...

She pt the call on Hold as normal using the Hold key.
Girl next to her does the same operation, and it goes on hold as normal.
I going to change out the phone, and see what happens

If changing the phone works, then clean the rubber membrane inside and it should be good to go.

Maybe a sticky "Park" key? see if they have one programmed too.

See if you have software that has swca call hold keys feat 73 on and off on phones that do not have mult call keys.

Give her a different extension port and reprogram her phone appropriately...

Copy the data from another port known to be working & then edit as required (name, ringing options etc). Something is corrupted.
Posted By: MooreTel Re: Hold on Call 1 - 11/12/17 01:11 PM
That could be copying the corruption as well, though...
Posted By: Curlycord Re: Hold on Call 1 - 11/12/17 03:44 PM
True but only if the port that was copied was corrupted, in this case kev suggests "from another port known to be working" so it would be a good thing to try......should have been the first thing to try actually.
If you turn auto set relocate off then put an 08 set on the port it will reset it. If it already has one then put a bigger set on then swap it back to the 08.
Move the phone to another port with Set relocate ON and see if problem follows then try the copy again.
Also tey with Set Relocate OFF move the set to another port then test phone then do a Change DN back to the original problem DN.
If both those do not work then I am guessing the DN itself is corrupted and not the port.

I'm going to turn set relocate off. Move the phone, change DN and program all features.
See what happens.

Juno, You got it!

You get the prize

Good call indeed.
I thought SWCA had it's own version of a hold key but I rarely program SWCA.
