I know that Norstar has a SMDR6 unit. But that outputs to RS232.
And I don't know of any program that can capture that info and make a report from it.
Do YOU know of any software to capture this info?

And if NOT, does anyone know how gather Call Detail for just 2 extensions?

I have a customer that wants to get info from just 2 ext's for how many calls IN and OUT and for How Long per day.
They may expand it to more ext's later - who knows.

This is not (for now) for recording the conversation.
Just length of call and how many.

Let me know if you know of something.

Thanks

Jim

Several years ago, there was a free Panasonic call logging system that also did basic Nortel. Try here: http://www.mft.com/phonelogger/

YMMV yada, yada, yada

hey Jim... if you want to just capture the data stream you can hook up a PC with Hyperterm or PuTTY to capture the SMDR output file. If you wish to do reports, crunch numbers etc. there are multiple free or low cost call accounting TSR programs. I'll look to see if i have info on some Call Accounting companies that may have what you are looking for

Thanks guys.

I just downloaded the Logger software.
Now I have to find that old SMDR6 unit I have around here somewhere to test it with.

I hope you can find some Call Accounting software.
I have an email into RSI but I think their products costs over a thousand - if they are still around.

Thanks for the replies.
