Hello,

I am new to the forum. I have a paging system that works using the Nortel T7316E desksets. I have been tasked with try to make an analog no button phone initiate the paging system in the plant. I am not sure the pieces I might need to accomplish this. Our desk sets are digital and making an analog phone work with it I am not quite sure.

Thank you,

Curt Davis
Press "Talk", then “Flash” or “Link”,
then 611 (for sets, 62 for just speakers, or 631 for all i/c Speakers)
If you don't have any analog right now, then you would need to get an ATA.

I think that Dave is ALMOST correct.

If what he said does not work then do this.

Get a dial tone.
Then press Flash or link followed by STAR (*)
Then dial the page codes as Dave said.

Now you may have to play around with the timing.
You may have to pause ever so slightly after the Flash/link button then press STAR.
Sometimes i find that pressing STAR too soon does not work - but so does waiting too long.

On the digital desk sets you can do Feature * 0 (Button Inquiry) and then press the Page button and note what it says on the display.
That will indicate what feature needs to be programmed.
