should i check relays ! Capacitors , or Power supply output voltage !?? please advice

dodo, please complete your profile.
I'm really not up on the UK versions but I would 1st try switching it with a known good ringing extension to rule out the phone.
If you know the phone is good then try disconnecting all the field wiring, (extension lines) and plug one set directly into the system.
The next thing I would do is default the system and then try it with the set or sets plugged directly into the system.
If this does not correct it then you have an internal component going out and you would have to send the unit in for repair.
1st see if it's that 1 individual set

Hi correct me if I am wrong
I think the kxt-2006 is a make of phone
if so your problem is caused by a ringing voltage fault
This phone was probably supplied with an adaptor with a capacitor which increases the voltage if not then the capacitor in the wall socket is faulty
We have this all the time with BT phones
If it is not a make of phone then disregard all of above.

Ok.
It's actually a small system.
I had thought of referring him to you Peter,LOL, as I thought for sure you would have knowledge of this system.

No matter its connected to extension phones or not , the extension doesnt ring , it only rings when i disconnest the power supply & reconnect it again ,may be its a matter of a fried capacitor in the main unit on the wall ,because of grey to black colour in the inside of the casing, but i couldnt really know which is fried, all seems like working well ,its more logic that a capacitor doesnt maintain the right output voltage for ringing .anyway, whats the best way to solve the problem with regular basis .Lately when i hang up the head set i hear no signal too !!!& i again disconnect & reconnect to get everything well again . P.S. sorry for long post . Thanks for help .

hi dodo

you are right the the 206 bx version has got a problem with the power supply this usually occurs after a power spike
the systems themselfs are quit cheep to replace if you wanted however looking at your profile you would have no problem replacing the cap...

to replace the whole power supply assý part no [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]slp1029z from panasonic
but before you change anything... when it happens again remove all ext except 11 or 21 & try again but dont power down before removing if it rings then the fault is with the main psu if not the fault is with the cap on the ext board ....have fun

Peter, thanks for clairfying that for me.
So the KX-T 2006 is an SLT phone and the KX-T 206 is a small system correct?
I thought the 1st post was just a type-o LOL
Thanks again, Gem

Thanks alot for ur assistance ,
Peter ,a point came to my mind , the 21 ext already works even when the other extensions are connected . Is that means that the ext board Cap that should be replaced !?
P.S. I m not sure also which capacitor should i replace inside , i mnot familiar with which is the extension board capacitor !! if you can advice , otherwise i ll try just to trace the cct .

Thanks again

Is that the KX-TDA200? or are you talking about a Key Service Unit (KSU)? or a KSU-less telephone with wall adapter?
