I've had a TD816 and TVS50 for a few years now and they worked fine until around Christmas. I reprogrammed the TVS and ever since it simply will not pick up incoming calls.

- phones ring three times. Something picks up the line, but there is no greeting or anything.

-After 5 rings, call is dropped and SBC vm picks up the call. (as it should.)

-Tested phone directly on CO's to make sure SBC vm wasn't beating the TVS to the punch. Picks up after 5 rings, just like it always has.

- Did a DIP position 5 reset, redid custom menus, re-recorded everything. Still no go.

- DPT is fine. Can program 'til I'm blue with hyperterm.

- Can dial into vm internally and get to mailboxes and menus just fine.

Auto attendant simply won't - er, attend. Have tried custom, A.A. and V.M. settings for day and night mode. No answer.

Stumped...

DSM, as a new member, how about completing your profile for us? TIA
If you want all lines to go to the TVS after 3 rings,
In the TD816; make sure there are no entries in program fields 407 & 408
Set field 203 for 3 rings.
set fields 409 day to Ext. 165.
if you want the same set up for night then also set field 410 for Ext. 165.
If you call the voicemail, (Ext. 165) from an extension that does not have a mailbox associated with it you should hear the main greeting, if you don't there are other problems.
Are there any modems, faxs, or alarms on any of the COs?
I'm thinking the voicemail from you provider could interfer under "busy" conditions.
Don't know why you would want both?
This is enough for you to check for now.
Keep us posted.

Well, I drove to Taco Bell and my mind, for some reason, said, "IRNA"

Checked that when I got back and it was set to the old extension for the TVS. I moved the actual line to another jack on the punch down block a while back. Changed that in 409/410 and viola, she answers.

Interesting as it should have remained the same,
Ext. 165. or are you using the actual extension/
port numbers.
With DPITS integration all you should have had to change would have been field 117.

I'm using the 8 jack punch down that goes with the TD 816. I moved the TVS 50 to a different jack. It was previously on jack 8 (extension 18 in my setup). The calls were basically being forwarded to an empty jack after I moved the VS to a different one.
