I have a Panasonic KX-T7731 - How do you transfer a call directly to voicemail without it ringing on the other end. Does the phone need to be on "Do Not Disturb"?
T, I see you found the "post new topic" link. There are a few ways to do this. If your referring to after a call has been answered by an attendant then all you need is a (VTR) voice mail transfer key on the set. While during a conversation you would press the VTR key, press a DSS key or dial an Ext. with voicemail and hang up. Rather the list the other options, is this what your looking for? MrG
Can this be done from the phone itself? The ext. # is 104, so do I do this: Program + PF button + 94104 + program
I hope I am not being annoying but the tech we have doesn't really know what he's doing and he took our manuals. So, I can't look up the button programing in the guide. He has my boss's DND button light all the time in order for her VM to pick up after 4 rings.
T, I don't believe a PF key will work. As I recall it has to be a DSS key so choose a button with a LED. At the phone, press program, press a DSS button, ( on the left bank of buttons on a 7700 series set)press 94 and the 1st voicemail Ext.,(It will probably be 107 or 115 then press store. MrG
Unless I missed something, or old habits of not RTFM, but your voice mail has to be 107&108 or 115&116. It has something to do with the availabe DTMF receivers. That was true of the 624 and I believe it's still true for the 824.
When you get around to reading the button programming, it will tell you that VTR has to be a C.O. type button (the left side buttons with LED's) of a 77xx phone.
