This concerns one extension set on a KX-TA624. When on-hook, the display shows only the extension # and name. All other extensions are displaying the time & date when on-hook, as they should.

I'm sure there's a simple & embarrassing answer to this. :scratch:

Just press the * key on the dial pad while the phone is sitting idle. Do not lift the handset or turn on the speaker.
