Have 4 lines, want to put separate greeetings on each line, and have just 1 mailbox for all these lines. Any suggestions on how to set this up? Im pretty sure I would set this up for trunk service. This is a house and need to set this up like an answering machine.

Yes you can set up trunk service for greetings and have all the lines go to same custom services and it should send all lines to same mailbox. But this is only if all lines are going to ring at same phones, it going to differant phones you could have 4 mailboxs which will transfer all messages to one mailbox, but ( there is always a but) its shortest timer to do this is 5 min.

if all 4 lines ring at once you'll have issues
unless the tva is set up with 4 ports

Should be no problem.
Each trunk would be answered by a different custom service, the custom service would time out to the gen mailbox, you could also say press 1 to leave your message.

Custom 1= Hello you have reached the Thomas residence, no one is available to take your call, please press 1 to leave message. ( digit 1, time out, and Zero in custom 1 set to transfer to mailbox) (gen mailbox #)
The gen mailbox itself would NOT have all calls transfer to mailbox turned on.

Custom 2= Hello you have reached Billy Thomas, please press 1 to leave me a message. (Digit 1, time out, and Zero the same as custom 1.

The Gen Mailbox would have a short greeting like
"Leave your message after the tone."

Each trunk has different greeting, all dumped into the same mailbox. Would not matter where they rang as long as it was not DIL 1:1 to an extension. Could be answered by VM immediately or with intercept.

Remember you could have 4 boxes and MW lights for all on common phones if that would work.
If the Parents just want to know the contents of messages to the kids the 1 box would work unless the kids get message first. 4 boxes would be best in this case, just copy messages from kids box to parents. Parents can discreetly monitor kids messages.
If only 2 ports, multiple calls can overflow to a phone or group, or just camp on to vm ports till one becomes free.
