Hi all,
We have a customer who is having an almost maxed-out TDA30 -3, just rented another office space a couple blocks away, and now wants to relocate 6 to 8 digital extensions to this new office, and expecting to share the same TDA at the old office.
They are looking for an inexpensive solutions, any recommendation is welcomed, thanks a lot in advanced!!!

Upgrade to 200 and sell Panasonic IP system. It works great, IF you don't skimp on the bandwidth. (Just like most other IP) Or, for the same money, probably, sell another 30 and tie 'em together with, no forget that, no way. 30 doesn't have tie-line capability. Well, maybe, does it have T1 capability? John C.

Thanks John!
No T1, only 8 POTs, any other 3rd party products can do the job? Any recommendation?
The customer mentioned Multitech VoIP products, are they good for this job?
Thanks again!

TDA 50's can link via an IP gateway card. I don't know about TDA30's.

Does anyone have any successful installation using the Quintum/Tenor products for connection 2 sites? Are they reliable enough? All that I know it is kinda expensive.
Any recommendation would be welcomed and thanks in advanced!

even if you buy the quintum what phones will they be using at the other site. price the panasonic ip phones with good bandwidth and price the quintum with phones and good bandwidth.
The quintum is good but expensive

Kev's probably got the 'hot setup', IF the gateway cards work in TDA30's. You need to explain to the customer that remote is NOT cheap! John C.

The tda 30 can have a gateway card, you would need a vpn setup and like Lightninghorse said you would want good bandwith for QOS. If they had their own lines for outgoing and incoming calls and use the gateway for internal or transering calls from one site to another it would work ok, but I would not like to depend on DSL for good service.( in Ireland anyway)

the multitech will require spare extensions on the exsisting 30 so if it is nearly full that could be a problem if upgrading then a 100 with IP extensions would be the best solution

OBT, if HG's customer is 'nearly full' would the TDA30 have the resources to support a gateway card? John C.

yes it would or with v4 software they could have 4 ip extensions
With a gateway he will need a second system in the new site
Plus telephones, could be as cost effective to upgrade to a 100 or the new ncp500 either way they will require a data link between buildings, granted the 6-8 ip phones would require more bandwidth
