Any ideas on how to help inrease the volume on a door phone unit? We have an installation where the door phone (actually a gate) is next to the street and difficult to hear. Any way to raise the volume on the door phone?

Using an 824 with opener card 82461 and a standard door phone.

Thanks, as usual!

aux speaker w/ amp

If the "door phone" is at a gate, the distance from the system to the door phone will probably effect the volume due to loss of signal. The guage of the wire used will also effect the signal..
Is the problem that you can't hear them or they can't hear you, or both. An aux speaker and amp is only going to help them hearing you, and not the other way around. Maybe a camera would help?
Another idea would be to get a third party unit and connect it to the system on an unused co line port.

it's usually the speaker volume that's low.
