When 1 call is in the auto attnd. and tying up port 1, 2nd call that comes in hears a fax type tone. If they hang up and then call back,usually they can get into auto attendant. Any ideas what could be the problem? There are only 2 ports on VM. I can dial into 2nd port from extension, so I know its there.

How many lines on the system?
are all CO lines set to ring directly to the A/A?
It's probably an alarm grabbing the line.
