Been tasked with connecting third party call logger on to the end of NCP 500 ( iam a samsung tech). Can anyone help with config. Im presuming its an IP connection, do i need to turn SMDR on? Is there any qwerks i need to know about?

The SMDR connection is the RS232C port, the DB9 on the cabinet.
Under system> Class of service> CO/SMDR just make sure that SMDR on CO calls is enabled for the COS(s)

Oh ok.....didnt realise it had DB9 connection ,installed a few over the last couple of years and never noticed. Tech sheet also shows no mention of RS232C port?

The install manual does reference the RS232C port but they mean the DB9 connection on the back of the NCP. It's a null modem cable that you use.

We have set this system using IP (confirmed by Panasonic support this was an option) under maintenance and enabled SMDR in COS.

We are unable to see any call logs we are connecting to PBX on port 2300.

Any other suggestions?

Hi TC, Where did you get that port number? The LAN ports on the NCP are 35300.
