My client is changing to a PRI once AT&T gets their fiber in place. We're going through the dance with them about lines and ports. I have made a few changes on PRI's before but never ordered from scratch.

My problem is that AT&T is telling me that as it is not analog (duh) the 2 hunt groups are all assigned in my switch and not from the CO. This just doesn't seem right to me??

Can I get a little enlightenment?

Use DID pointed to your IRG's.
IE: 5566 to 601 Hunt group 1, IRG one.

5557 to 602 Hunt Group 2 IRG two.

Some providers may be able to limit the # of channels taken up by any 1 DID.

All telephone numbers that come in on the pri can come in as many times there are available channels so you point the number to a group as Brokeda said

You can restrict the amount of calls that come in on each number / group by number of agents in the group and queue size
